The Talk to Sonja app represents a dedicated effort since 2006 to understand and tap into the potential of one of the most under utilised resources in the world.

That resource is people's stories. I believe this is a part of life that has a never ending supply, no one can really say when a story starts and when a story will end. I believe that stories are as important as the sun's energy, because stories are what binds us together. It's what shines and constantly emanates from within each person. If this wasn't the case then the popularity of movies, books, music, arts and all other forms of stories would not hold our interest.

Stories never die, they may be forgotten but they live on forever.

Stories may not seem a very exciting discovery as it's one of those aspects of life like sunshine and oxygen that is just a given. To us it's extremely exciting working with stories because they are truly a sustainable resource. As long as you can communicate you can express your story, and if not someone has a version of it they can tell.

We have focused above all other areas on understanding how to unlock the potential of stories. The reason is that the story is the expression of what I call "the mystery".

The mystery is an encompassing term for your beliefs, habits, behaviours, thoughts, feelings, emotions, memories, preferences, biases, characteristics, personality, culture, racial memories, past remembrances and anything else that is a mystery to your active awake consciousness.

Whenever you speak about anything, that which you are expressing has been formulated and shaped by "the mystery". This is the part of you that you really don't know that much about, and when you communicate, the result is a well formed, structured and coherent expression coming out without any thought. It just happens.

The Talk to Sonja App takes that story as it is and treats it as a source of energy. The main reason for this approach is that "the mystery" is the ultimate place that you need consider if you want to influence and encourage change in a persons life.
